Don’t you hate pants?! Wait, wrong post intro. Don’t you hate when your headphone wires tangle?! There you go. Behold, a solution!
The simple fix comes to us by way of Lee Washington, a London-based gentleman. His main idea is: headphones tangle because the separate cords between the actual headphone and the jack work up a sweat, and get all higgledy piggledy.
What you do is make it so that the cords are able to zip together, like a Ziplock bag. When you want to listen to music, you unzip. When you’re all done, you zip ‘em back together.
No more tangles.
This is the first time I’ve seen such an invention, so feel free to correct me if some indie inventor (like an East Side Dave, for example) had already developed a similar solution.

bloody f’in genius. Apple, hire this guy NOW.
i saw something similar on headphones from a nokia phone I had…
What is used as the ZIPPER? Is it just a small plastic flex tube that is split on one side?
Very nice! Wonderful idea!
Here are some that already use the actual zipper concept. Only concept though, not in produciton:

This isn’t original… I bought some Sony earbuds from Best Buy about six months back that has the zipper on it. I think it’s the EX model, with the round rubber molds that fit into your ear hole. They totally do help though.
This zipper semi-solution only solves half the problem. My experience is almost perfect with the tiny magneat, http://www.magneat.com
Sorry guys, forgot to put the youtube link :-/
