England has been rocked by yet another episode of soccer hooliganism, but no matter: MCV has confirmed the Xbox 360 price cut will be announced tomorrow. Note the wording: the price cut itself won’t happen tomorrow, just that Microsoft will announce what’s what.
You can expect the Xbox 360 Pro to be phased out, and the Xbox 360 Elite to have its price slashed, perhaps by as much as $100 to $299.
The Xbox 360 Arcade? That’s still up in the air.
How about that Photoshoppery? High concept, well executed, you name it.

If you stare at those scissors long enough, they start to look like a Mickey Mouse/duck hybrid…
Good news for prospective 360 owners, if there are any left out there. I’m surprised at how many games are coming up for the PS3 this year – I’m not saying this as a fanboy but it looks like Sony is finally gonna make a serious run at gamers again in FY2010.
Can they make the damn price cut already!
Believe me, no one wants to see the price cut actually happen more than we do. This piecemeal “will there, won’t there?” nonsense has gotten real old, real fast.
Everyone knows the toutise always wins the race. 360 came out like a bat out of hell and due to that the RROD was born. But people just keep their eyes closed and keep on supporting the company that rushed its product out before making sure it was ready. But now with the line up coming up the 360 fanboys wont have the whole we have more games objection. Face it, if you didn’t waste your money on the 360 than the ps3 wouldn’t have been as expensive.
tourtise
Oh and I paid the price for mine and trust me as soon as you do, you wont regret it.

Improve the consoles reliability, make Live FREE, and then come talk to me. I wouldnt pay $100 for a 360.
Then you my friend, are a complete idiot…
Im with you mouse, the 360 is bloddy awful. Its low-end consumer stuff.
get em mouse.
lets not forget Bluray, Web Browsing, Blutooth everything, and what a sexy machine the ps3 is. Oh did I mention six axis. bring on the debate
Yeah not to mention those things. It offers very little in the way of value, especially when you’re going to be paying AU$70 a year for x number of years to play online.
Wow, I thought Microsoft would never think about competing with Sony anymore since the thing that I I can only think of they can beat Sony is by launching Project Natal. Oh well, now I dunno if I should get PS3 or Xbox before Aion Online is launched.
“lets not forget Bluray, Web Browsing, Blutooth everything, and what a sexy machine the ps3 is. Oh did I mention six axis. bring on the debate”
The Xbox is made for gaming, not stupidity…
If you want all those things go buy a computer.
“and what a sexy machine the ps3 is” Wtf?
