It’s not even a story any more that Apple loves to reject Apps from the App Store. Today’s entry in the Big Book of App Rejections is µMonitor, an App that monitors µTorrent that you have running on your PC. Apple rejected it because “this category of applications is often used for the purpose of infringing third party rights.”

’nuff said, eh?
fascinating article.
Hope this doesn’t actually surprise anyone. Apple would be morons to allows such an ap.
doesnt surprise me.
should i sue them for monopoly on premium phones?
(jk)
Don’t most of the ipods/iphones have mostly “illegally” downloaded/ripped music?
I can’t say that this rejection is a deal breaker for me by any means, but this sort of thing is exactly what is pushing me to the Android camp.
Ahh the futility of it all; what copyright violating bittorrent user has not taken the time to jailbreak their IPhone.
good point. jailbroken phones probably have this app already.
I’m not sure some of the commentators even understand the difference between running and monitoring…just sad. Sad that it was rejected for a retarded nonsense reason (a monitoring application can’t infringe anything), sad that apple feels it’s customers come second to other peoples theoretical IP.
Apple should reject blog apps because blogs are often used for saying that Apple sucks.
Ops, Its really sad news for torrent downloader. BTW there is many alternative avaible for this. Nice info. Thanks
