What the hell? It’s been three years since I first joined this motley crew? I guess so. I’m a man of few words so I’ll keep this short. This is my last day with CrunchGear and TechCrunch. Thanks to Mike, Heather and John for giving me the opportunity to do something that I’ve grown to love over the last few years.
I’ve witnessed the rise of CrunchGear from the beginning and I can’t help but feel a little sad to part ways with something I’ve let encapsulate the last three years of my life. Blood, sweat and tears as they say. But it’s time to move on and work on something new and different. I’ll be moving on up to midtown where I’ll be joining Time.com to launch something the likes of which you’ve never seen before. It’s a daunting task, but I’m elated and I hope you’ll stop on by when we launch later this year.
And who could forget the band of misfits I’ve been working with day in and day out. You guys are the best and I’ll miss jumping into the chat room every morning and discussing everything from Nietzsche to Chipotle’s “dry” burritos. You guys really are the best in the biz and I hope we cross paths again in the future.
Oh, who am I kidding? I’ll see your ugly mugs next week at that dumb tech event in NYC.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
P.S.- Matt, your Red Bull is in the freezer. Don’t forget.
P.P.S.- Nicholas, BONES.

You’re a straight shooter, Peter, and I’ve always enjoyed your posting style and the subject matter you choose to write about. You’ll be missed.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
He might shoot straight, but that was totally gay.
what’s wrong with that?
We’ll miss you, PHa! Good luck at time.com!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooOOOOOOOooOOoOoOoOo!! WHY GOD, WHY?!?!
But seriously, sad to see ya go Peter! You’re one of the bests…I’ll miss ya, and the life size cutout of you on my closet door….because obviously I won’t be able to keep it
I’ll never forget our first meeting in a Starbucks across from the Hofbrau…and then becoming your internet stalker. I’ll continue to stalk you anywhere you go. Because that’s what friends (read: psychofans) do. Congrats, and I’ll see you on the flip side.
And the award for creepiest send-off goes to….
Envelope, please.
Shanee! With “I’ll continue to stalk you anywhere you go.”
Congratulations, Shanee… and may we never meet at Starbucks.
I kid, of course.
I’m just jealous of Peter’s writing prowess and massive amount of female followers.
At least I have something to strive for…
I guess those ESL classes paid off for you!
Shanee is the real reason Peter is leaving, they have better security at Times.com!
Good luck and thanks!
Good bye Peter. I wish you well in your new gig! Make sure these folks cover the launch.

In other news, crickets were heard chirping throughout the blogs of crunchgear
i always enjoyed your articles peter. best of luck with time
Thanks, and good wishes in your venture with Time.com!
You were already one of my favorites, but the video sendoff has really put you over the top.
Congratulations on the highfalutin new gig.
For whatever reason your saying “the likes of which you’ve never seen before” made this come to mind.
Gary Johnston: OK, a limousine that can fly. Now I have seen everything.
Spottswoode: Really? Have you seen a man eat his own head?
Gary Johnston: No.
Spottswoode: So then, you haven’t seen everything.
So are you working on a flying limousine or a man eating his own head? Best of luck either way.
i saw that headline and clickede, hoping it was arrington. darn…
Pete I am sure that whatever you are doing with Time will be successful since you are involved!
Good Luck
Good luck, sir.

PHa,
Wishing you the best of luck with Time. NOW you’ll see just how difficult it is to get CrunchGear to post your stuff, eh?
Not … not very.
much luck in your future!
I’ve always enjoyed reading your stuff, Peter. Thanks for covering everything geeky for us. Best of luck to you at Time.
You’ll be missed Pete. I wish the best of luck in your new project.
Good luck Peter! I’ll check out what you are doing @ Time.com
Thanks for the great work!
Best wishes, Peter! Crunchgear wouldn’t be the same without you. Like everything would be 0.93% different.
Cheers!
So I just watched the video and i feel like you are trying to tell everyone on here that CG made you jump through all kinds of hoops and all you got in return were fish tossed at your face. Poor Pete no wonder your bailing. LOL! GL! again my friend made the gods carry you and bring you to victory in your lifes endeavors.
oops you’re*
You will be missed, and so will some of the best posts on CG.
He’s not actually going to Time. He told me. He’s the new love interest in the next season of True Blood. That’s the real shit, yo.
You may of hated the blackberry storm and I may of given you lots of shit over the past three years Peter. But in all honesty, I’ve enjoyed your posting style, wit, and humor.
Good luck man, with what ever life brings you. You’re a very talented individual. I’m sure you’ll succeed in any task you take on.
Don’t be afraid to respond to my crazy and offense comments every now and then :)
May you and the blackberry storm live on forever!
wtf…….
Well if that event in NYC is going to be crappy, guess I’ll just skip the journey. Although they have a large vendor list.
Oh yeah, looking forward to your next project. :)
Good luck, Peter, your stuff was always worthy a read. Now we are stuck with the likes of Siegler and Lacy.
Goodbye Mr. Ha. It’s been nice reading Crunchgear and I liked your stuff. Except that one time you did whatever that camera convention was and I internet-screamed at you. But even then the times were good. Thinking back the first thing I remember is when there was a contest for something or another but the goal was to caption a picture of you frowning in front of your badly mis-spelled nametag. I thought the picture as well as the captions were hilarious. I will miss you Peter Ha.
P.S. There was a somewhat low key contest for some xbox 360 Tekken swag that I won, and you asked for my address and I obliged but I never heard anything about that? Is that sitting around because I’d still love it.
Yours truly, dwalk51
I will miss your writing, Mr. Ha. Best of luck at Time. Thanks for all your work putting together the May Day party last year, too – that was a blast.
Happy travels PHA! I will see whatever you are up to when you reaveal it at TIME.com (one of my most frequented sites). Goodluck with everything. I had a lot of fun, learned some things, read good writing from you on CrunchGear.
wow, have fun at time
at least i subscribe to time magazine.
maybe i would read an article from you some day…
Good Luck to You Buddy :-) Cheers & Best Wishes again :-)
Thanks and good luck from Japan. You could always make us laugh, Mr. Ha!
