If we’re being honest—and we always are here on CrunchGear, if nothing else—then I do have to admit that the Zune HD looks pretty spiffy. Apple’s event came and went, and I’m absolutely burned out on the iPod. (The last one I bought was the fat nano, back in 2007.) With my fancy new Windows installation all set up, though, there’s nothing stopping me from jumping on board the Zune HD bandwagon. I may well might, maybe as a Christmas gift to myself.
That said, would I be interested in the Xbox Series Zune HD? I’m thinking no. The Zune HD looks spiffy because it’s quite clean—adding, say, a Left 4 Dead 2 logo to the back just kills the mood.
Still, if the idea of having the Fable logo on your Zune doesn’t bother you, then at least there’s that option for you.

God knows I’d buy one regardless of what network it was on. And thats really saying something since the only reason I don’t have an iPhone is because of ATT.

Adding those logos on the back are just ruining the clean image of the Zune HD. It’s great just the way it is but of course tagging a logo on the back will easily bring more back for Microsoft. Gears of War might be OKAY at best, but the rest are just lame. I agree, the device looks beautiful by itself. If you want to make them personal, let users decide what color they want or something.
There are two things stopping me from picking up the Zune: 1) the accessories I already have for the iPod (radio signal transmitter, Logitech speaker dock, etc.), and 2) I already have iTunes up and running perfectly.
I haven’t tried the new iTunes, so can’t speak to the bloat. But say what you will about old iTunes, it has always run fine and so has my system. If its a resource hog, then my 4 GB of RAM is more than enough to compensate because I *never* have any problems with it. It’s stable, it’s easy to use, and its fairly simple. Plus I bought two or three songs on iTunes I couldn’t find elsewhere (when the DRM was still around) that won’t transfer to another program.
Those are a few of the roadblocks I personally have to Zune adoption. Otherwise, I would be happy to move away from Apple. Curious what others think.
Sucks about the accessories, no way around that obviously. On the DRM songs bit, can’t you make them non-drm through iTunes? I thought I remember them coming out with a feature that does that.

yes there is, it called itune’s plus, when you first go to the itunes store, on the main menu theres a “Upgrade my Muisc”
My cousin got one today.Back side is not sexy as iPod touch.And OLED screen is ok,speed is about the same as IPT.I’m very much disaapointed with the design.I’ll wait for next year’s ipod touch.

No I’m not.Becuase i have 1 Toshiba Win XP,1 Xp Desktop and HP Vista.So i wanted a zune,but i dont like it.So next year i’ll buy ipod touch with cam and want to buy upcoming apple tablet(if the rumors is right ).
Update. My cousin returned her Zune HD.And got IPT 32 GB.I’ll post the update,is she likes or not.

im ordering a blue 32gb Zune HD, why? Because the original zune made your pmp personal, with changeable wallpaper. now you can’t…the only xbox series i really liked was Halo3:ODST in platinum but i want color and it doesnt work out with blue that much…and to “Martin” the zune Hd is way better than iPod Touch…P.S. i owned a ipod touch, not my thing so i returned it.
