There’s been some chatter about this over the last week, but I wanted to wait until something a little more solid came up. After all, how many times have price drops been reported for the other consoles that turned out to be bogus? But it appears that Nintendo itself is now confirming the price drop (not just retailers), so you can probably expect a $200 Wii starting September 27th.
Of course, in concordance with the Tetris effect of retail pricing, I’d expect a new SKU at the original price or higher to push down the old model. What do you guys think? Wii Fit Plus package? MotionPlus?

Im sure this is good but Xbox 360 will still be cheaper, and still 10 times better. Nintendo why dont you release a console thats on par with current gen standards instead of some lame price drop. Your paying more for Wii for ALOT less than 360. Ahh wii i cant wait to sell you for my 360 Elite

Although graphics arnt important, it is nice to have some great visuals once in a whilt
360 has a harddrive DLC, DVD player, Mp3 support, your like able to sync that thing up with your comp, (if your running windows that is) XBL great downloadable games. And lets not forget LOTS AND LOTS of developers make these awesome games for the thing. 360 is just an awesome console. And no im not a fanboy im jst stating the facts

54% failure rate was based on intel from old 360’s (the ones before Dec. 2008). After December 2008, the reports are a failure rate of about 1%. So a console with HD gaming, 14 cent a day(who cant afford that) super awesome online gaming, DVD playing, huge library of games, with Natal coming out next year console for $100 more is wayyy better. And dont forget the PS3, which is equally as good as the 360.
And with natal you cant fling the controller at the TV to make it break.
