attWe’ll start this deal off with a gigantic asterisk. This deal does NOT work for a) existing AT&T customers looking to renew or b) anyone who wants an iPhone.

That being said, every other AT&T phone at Amazon is going for a penny today (and today only). That’s with a new, two-year contract. There’s no activation fee, either, which is nice, and you get free two-day shipping on everything.

Some nice handsets in there, too: BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve, Nokia E71x, HTC FUZE – even a couple 3G internet adapters.

  • i’m a real noob when it comes to the actual plans, so be easy on me with this one:

does a plan like the ‘AT&T Nation 450 Rollover Minutes’ also include 3g connectivity? i know it doesnt say anything about edge or 3g in the service plan, but is it implied or is that another plan altogether?

  • Meh. It’s not about the price of the phones, its about the price of the plans. Although I’m sure this will attract a good number of people anyways.

Offer the lowest cost plans in the nation and you’ll have people flocking to you. Seems like you’d make more money that way too?

Give me unlimited everything for $70 a month and we’re in business. Until then, I’m sticking to Boost Mobile with for $50 or Verizon for $35 and $50 (except calling).

  • letstalk.com offers similar deals every day, and many deals are good for upgrades too.

I am not in any way connected to any site. I’m just not a big fan of Amazon, and see no reason they should make a mint offering a 1 day deal that isn’t anything special.

  • wow, that’s a really good deal for the Bold. Too bad it doesn’t apply to existing customers or I’d be tempted to do it

  • Those are nice phones that At&t is offering. There is just one thing that perturbs me of the claim of the argument, AT&T is giving us a good deal. I think not! Once you are sucked into to that penny for a phone deal one is stuck with high service fees. Now i appreciate a nice phone as does anyone else, but in times like this I can’t afford the premium service payment. StraightTalk wireless offers unlimited minutes with no contracts for 45$ a month. In these times it seems way more economical(EDUCATED) to me to go with companies like straight talk.
