I got the yellow iPod nano thinking it would be more like the old brushed nanos with a little bit of color. Instead I open the box to discover it looks like something Elton John would wear on his head like a feather. This is not to disparage Elton John or feathers. It’s just that it’s a little bright.
You were warned. Even the color you see before you – a nice sort of orange/yellow isn’t what it looks like. It’s really shiny and my wife and I were a little disappointed.
This is it under direct light. I promise I’ll get more pictures soon.
Get that thing out into the light and snap a shot of it in all its Big Bird glory. You can’t tell anything under the mood lighting that you use when you’re sitting there reading Revolution.
i need to review it anyway so I’ll some better shots up soon. trust me when i say it looks pretty golden

better still, just turn on the flash, it will tell how shiny it really is.
Well, I must say that’s some of the crappiest photography I’ve seen in a while. A shame too, since the point of the article was about how bright the color of the iPod was. Why not show it instead of taking your word for it? That’s why we have the capability of adding images into web pages.

I’m only giving you a hard time because I still remember the article you did complaining about how bad the new Microsoft Store logo looked (http://www.crunchgear.com/2009/08/11/new-microsoft-store-logo-pixelly/). And to illustrate your point, you seemed to go out of your way to find a particularly bad image to prove your point. That’s not good journalism, that’s finding evidence to prove your point. I must say, this article reminded me of that and I found it hard to trust you when you again used poor photos/images.

Ok, so I probably wouldn’t choose it over purple, blue, orange, red or pink, but I quite like that colour. And isn’t the point that the colours are supposed to be bright…?
