This is honestly surprisingly catchy and I like how they cut up the Mac boot-up tone. The band, FattySpins filmed live in the 5th Avenue Apple Store (here’s them recording it to prove it wasn’t green-screened) and it was written and mixed by Ray William Johnson.

No more than 24 hours later… after updates on (a) software version to 3.1 and (b) carrier version to At&T 5.5…I can’t make/receive a single call…send/receive a text.
This kills me…I’m rendered useless (in so short amount of time) ?!?
I’m disgusted. Again, can’t receive or make any calls…hard down. Video makes me sick.
Folks…should I bail now and return during my 30 day window or stick this out?

This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. I’m never watching a video posted on TechCrunch again. It’s so terrible that it made my morning coffee diarrhea routine seem enjoyable, because after watching this, anything is enjoyable. I think I’m going to return my MacBook Pro just because I am embarrassed to be associated by brand with this god awful YouTube video. With any luck Apple will send a cease and desist order just to stop the embarrassment, Steve Jobs is probably hiring a hitman on this guy right now.

If it wasn’t green-screened then it proves that Mac customers are zombies with nothing but eyes for the latest gizmo. A guy acting like this in a store should attract more than a couple of glances from customers.

*shrug* what can you do. Macs are the best computers ever made, always have been, but all the slaps in the face from Apple over the years kinda get old after a while, ya know. I mean shit, if you have a slightly older macintosh, and you go to the apple web site for support… good luck finding anything… there used to be somewhat of a functional interface for their downloads and help files… no more… it’s terrible now… there is no more index to speak of, it’s just a crappy search engine, it gives you 10 results at a time. It’s like a library with no card catalog. What can I say. Macs are great, but Apple is shit.
I wonder if Apple IP lawyers are having a heart attack about this use of the Apple startup chime. I would guess that thing has to be trademarked as well as copyrighted.
