Whoever manipulated the above image to make this humongous iPhone battery pack look relatively manageable ought to be given a raise. Conversely, whoever wrote “It is not bulky either as it just extends a little at the bottom” in the product description ought to immediately undergo a workplace evaluation. If it happens to be the same person who handled both the photo and the product description, then God help us all.

Here’s what the $60 “Super Charger for iPhone” looks like from the side.

It’s big, I tell you. Big.

That’s okay, though, let’s just call a spade a spade and move on. There are, believe it or not, people out there who would be willing to put up with this brick in order to squeeze almost 2.5 full recharge cycles out of it.

  • I was about to say it looks like a mophie juicepak, but no, no it doesn’t. It looks like a giant brick. But hey, now you can watch like… 9 movies, back to back.

Heck, that’s no bulkier than my Sanyo SCP-7050 with the 7.5 hour talk-time extended battery on it. :)

If I had an iPhone, I’d sport that battery when needed.

  • Even with this thing attached to it the itoy would still only just manage a day before the batteries die.

Can we stop writing about the itoy on a gadget/mobile phone site. Mattel.com would be a more appropriate place.

  • woaw 300mAh battery…its awesome

  • It looks like something you could beat people with if they ever tried to jack your phone.

  • Luckypacks.com sell a battery that is 5400 Mah and is half the size of that huge ass thing..

  • does it work with the ipod touch 3gen.?
I lost the zune HD competition here (congrats to the winner) and I’ll buy an ipod touch 3gen. 64GB .

  • I bought one. Bottom line: in real world use this gives me 1.5 full charges. Bad news is the price and low mah. 3000mah is a little more than one ‘AA’ rechargeable battery. That’s not much. After buying this thing, I realized that, duh, I could have just bought a AAx4 USB battery pack for $7.95 and plugged in my iphone usb charging cable! 4xAA gives me 10,000 mah. The 2AA version gives me 5,000 I was stupid. Learn from my mistake.
