Here’s one hell of a deal on the PS3. You can pick up an 80gb unit with two controllers for the quite reasonable price of $250. That’s the best deal I’ve seen in a really long time for one of the best Blu-Ray players on the market.
I’ll admit, I haven’t really found any of the games that are PS3 only to be that compelling, so I don’t have one yet. But at this price, damn. I might have to pick one up. This deal comes from the “SonyStyle” store so it’s a legitimate vendor and you know that not going to end up with some refurbished unit.

An oldie but goodie – try picking up Ratchet & Clank for PS3. Great game native to PS, and you can probably get it for cheap nowadays.

The failure rate is far less than for Xboxes, or even Wiis I believe. I had one for 3 years and it was perfect, until I was burglarized :-(

My 60GB model died after 2 years from launch date. Sucks but I got it fixed. Still it sucked I lost all my data because the refurb model they sent me back wouldnt let me import my backup. It said something about it being a different system etc etc etc…. Eff em.
I purchased my PS3 the moment they hit the market. Has been working great and have never had an issue. Now that I have put it down in words, I am sure I will now need to get a new one. :)
Also, Little Big Planet is a great game as well as the Uncharted series. Having Blu-Ray, PS2 compatibly and the media capabilities (I use PlayOn) have made the $600 I spent worth every penny.
