It seems like it was just a few minutes ago that I was posting the leaked specs almost in their entirety. Oh, it was. Well, we’ve got more pictures!

The gallery isn’t available through the main page, but it’s easy enough to find. The high-res pics aren’t up yet, but that’s cool with you guys, right?

All our stats from before were pretty much on target: 12MP, 9FPS, 100% viewfinder, 51-pt autofocus, 720p video, 102,400 extended ISO. But feel free to read over the press release. One thing I’m confused about is that the UK price is £4200, which is a lot more than $5200. Britons, feel free to sound off (or switch to Canon… that 7D is looking good right now, isn’t it?).

***What a tremendous dissappointment that they are still trying to sell such low pix count in a professional camera. This is not on my list.

Dude, the only thing that should be on your list is a point & click. You know nothing about pro-photography!

I have used a D3 for 18 months. The best camera I have ever owned.
The D3s had reduced dust management, and an given an extra couple of stops. (try night landscape shots with a full moon for light). I could not justify the D3X but I have ordered a D3S. As for Canon v Nikon, personally I prefer Nikon as I have glass that is 20 years old that still fits the D3.

Pix count is totally overrated. But still, this is way too expensive.

12.1 mp is more than enough given the quality of the sensor. Yeah its expensive, but the mp count isn’t an issue.

Body seals and speed is what this camera is all about. Most people have never even held a camera in this class so they dont understand just HOW responsive this type of hardware is. It’s fast, it’s reliable and you can shoot in conditions that make users of lesser equipment run for cover lest they destroy thier gear.
