And suddenly I wish I had a garage. The Chamberlain Fingerprint Keyless Entry system for garage doors is selling at HomeDepot.com for $18 (down from $68) until the end of the month.
According to the product description:
The fingerprint keyless entry incorporates the latest biometric technology in providing access to your garage door. It can store up to 10 fingerprints, is easy to program and install. It’s perfect for families with children who do not have to remember a 4 digit code and possibly pass a code to someone else. The universal adapter means it will work on all brands of garage door openers.
Pretty sweet deal, although you’ll have to hide one of your fingers in the backyard somewhere so you don’t get locked out by accident. That, or just keep your hands with you at all times.

LMAO! Nice!
Yea, that made me LOL also!! I just might buy one for the cool factor!
My boss’s wife locked herself out and wasn’t programmed in so she had to get a kid out of school to swipe their finger!
for just 18$ this is worth picking up even though i dont have a garage. I have to imagine the circuitry and architecture is basic and standardized since it is meant for a variety of motors.
Should be easy enough to install on other various things like a car door …..
Home Depot says no longer available, out of stock online.
Wow, those went fast. Hopefully they’ll get some more in stock before the end of the month.
they are crap and the company that made them is out
of biz. You get what you pay for.
Nope, sorry Bobby. Not out of business. In fact we are the largest in the world as far as garage door openers and access control.
If you bought one and are having an issue, let us know at our 800 number.
We’re always glad to help and interested to hear about product uses.
That’s a nice price for a biometric door opener. $18? Not bad at all!
even $18 is to much if its a piece of crap that dosnt work.
It’s a piece of crap and the company is already out of business? Damn, that sucks because it looked really cool. I hate having to enter the code on mine every time I don’t have my remote on me.
I checked the link this morning and they are available at a price of $68.
These are a piece of crap. They break just after the warrenty runs out.
I guess if bobby and TBB think this produce is crap, I’m going to have to purchase one.
