The Canon 1D Mark IV is finally official, all 16MP, 1080p video shooting of it. The $5000 DSLR is packed with the very best of from Canon. In their usual fashion, DPReview has more info than you probably wanna know about the camera. Besides, you already know that it’s kick ass. But remember the dude that shot the first video with the 5D Mark II. Yeah, Canon hooked up with him to do a short with this camera and the results are amazing. Click through to see what I mean.

This certainly ups the competition with Nikon. If you want 1080p, this is the best way to get it in a real pro camera. The 5D Mark II is great – I use one – but I want a pro camera with a body like the 1D series or the Nikon D3s/X.
I would hate to give up my Nikkor 14-24 and 24-70 2.8 lenses. They are unbelievably good.

cameraDSLR.Fixed that for you. It’s still worth nothing that a mechanical shutter is still the only way to get cinema-quality digital video.
As for the movie…… it’s an overlit, undersaturated mess of cliches IMHO :)
Awesome short movie. I actually really enjoyed that.
I want one for Christmas..not sure I am ready to move up to a DSLR though..my Canon S5 seems to be doing me fine, but a new camera is on the list..this might be a bit too much for me though.
