Dell is finally letting some folks play with the previously super secret Adamo XPS. Hardware specifics are still a mystery although we now know it’s not powered by an Atom CPU. Apparently everyone digs the previously-mentioned capacitive strip that opens the lid all sexy-like. Head over to LaptopMag to peek a few pics until we can post our hands-on.

I don’t care for it. That big chunk under the screen would make it nigh unusable. It wouldn’t sit right on your lap, and the keyboard sits at an angle that would be hell on the wrists, no matter what the computer is sitting on.
it would be allright if the scrren was down and the keyboard up on this picture.
Not to mention you wouldn’t be able to adjust the angle of the screen. If they were trying to get attention but not sales with that design, they’ve done a great job.
I have to agree with Murdoc. I was really looking forward to this notebook, but I think the deal breaker for me is the way the laptop sits.
wow.
for $2k, that is pretty fugly in my book.
i’ll stick w/my Macbook Air any day.
Giz is reporting that it does Not ship with a Atom proc…confirm/deny this?
