  • The PC Simplified video wastes a lot of the viewers time with the elevator music intro. It’s indicative of the kind of time wasting install and update processes that we’ve been dealing with with Windows products for a long time. Which is why so many of us have moved to the cloud: it’s faster, cheaper and simpler.

  • What does that mean, once you install the OS you’re done. Have fun being on the internet. So take the 30 min to an hour to install the OS or go and buy a computer and shut up, Honestly

    • Nicely put, Aaron. This seems to be the attitude with Windows for years. Pony up another OS license fee, pay for upgrades to Office Professional and countless other apps, spend a weekend getting stuff to play nice, and voila you’re ready to go.

I was an early adopter of Windows, love and respect Bill Gates and Melinda for their charity work, but have moved on to the cloud at this point. (Where MS should have been years ago)

      • Why are you so hooked on cloud computing?

It’s flawed in many places, especially in security.
Spreading out your resources is not always a good thing.

        • Look, I’m not here to bash MS or their OS’s. I’m just stating that using SaaS solutions like Google Apps, SalesForce, ZOHO, etc. has simplified things for me and cost me less in my situation. If you need to work offline a lot, or have enterprise constraints, or key apps require a particular OS, maybe the cloud isn’t for you. But I wouldn’t bring up security as a reason to adopt a PC os.

      • “Pony up another OS license fee, pay for upgrades” you make it sounds like they copied Apple :p

Win7 looks good, I’m happy for them, are they doing upgrades from vista at a huge discount? thats what their customers deserve.

  • I’M A PC

    take the “P” out :-D

    Brilliant !

  • OMG Kylie is soooo cute!

  • fuckin retard kane .. if u dont like it then dont get it but please shut the fuck up

  • I never said you were bashing MS, I was just wondering why you were so hooked on cloud computing.

Also I was not saying security flaws in cloud is a good reason to switch to MS I was just pointing it out. Just like the flaw in clouds if you lose internet, you end up with a box, computers are close to the same in some peoples minds where no net = no fun.

But in the end choices between Windows, Mac, and Cloud boil down to user preference, there is no superior, just different customers.

    • Thanks for the lively discussion, Pilltron. We agree on the choices issue, customer prefs, and probably a lot more. You’re right, you never said I was bashing MS. I just wish MS had given me the cloud choice a few years ago, but in the end consumers win when companies like MS and Google compete.

I don’t like the idea that Google might one day become the only choice. In fact, I’d love to see MS give them a run for their money in search and social.

  • lol … did Microsoft just payed Kylie with a PC for all those commercials?
