Everyone knows that we here at CrunchGear love Logitech’s Harmory remotes. Normally though, they are really expensive and perhaps out of the reach of the casual buyer. Good news though, Tiger Direct has one hell of a deal on the 670, a IR remote designed to work with pretty much everything out there.
You’ve got to admit, $39.95 is a pretty good deal. The remote is refurbished, so be aware, however Logitech does warranty the remote for 90 days parts and labor, so you should be pretty safe. Plus, buying one non-refurbished will set you back about $100. You’d be buying it through Ebay, and shipping is free to the continental US. This remote is costly and everyone can not use this facility.
Old model, not sold by logitech any more. This thing chews up batteries like crazy (4xAAA). No real manual to speak of. Forget customer service. Not happy with mine, especially since I paid retail.
All Harmony remotes that use AAA batteries chew them up — the solution is to use rechargeable AAA batteries. This is a genuine deal that will make your life a whole lot better if you turn on multiple boxes when you watch TV. Because of Logitech’s online method of making these remotes work, this will continue to work with brand new electronics long after it is no longer manufactured.
