Remember those Microsoft ads from a little over a year ago, the ones with Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates trying on shoes? Of course you do; it’s all the Internet talked about for days. I present to you this shocking photo: Seinfeld using a Mac!
Yup, that scene is from this week’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. And while it may be worth a chuckle in the abstract, people ought to know that Jerry always had a Mac sitting on his desk in the Seinfeld TV show. What was out of order was him promoting Microsoft. Well, I’m sure the giant sacks of money helped, but the original sin was Jerry going from Mac to PC, and not this latest switch.

You’re a smart guy and all but surely you realize that although Seinfeld’s playing himself on Curb, he’s still operating within the context of the show. In other words, he’s still affected by marketing/ad deals associated with the show. That’s not to say Jerry doesn’t use a mac at home, but this doesn’t really prove it.
You’ve put entirely too much thought into this, Jordan. It’s a screencap of Jerry Seinfeld using a Mac. Nothing more, nothing less. I just thought it was neat.

Apparently those HP “hands commercials” (or whatever the hell you want to call them) really did not stick with anyone. Seinfeld appeared in one of those in the fall of ‘07 and the whole theme of those commercials was how the celebrity used an HP in their life and work.

I agree with Nick and David. And to be honest I don’t understand what’s the point that Jordan is trying to make ( if you are reading this Jordan don’t bother explaining yourself). I mean, its only a pic. So what if he is using a Mac, so what if we see a pic of Justin Long using Windows 7 or John Hodgman using a Mac. So what…
