Advertising is rough. People get jaded, technology gets old. Viral videos aren’t what they used to be. It’s not just a case of throwing a simple website up and hoping they come to you, you have to actually work for it.
Projectors seem to be where it’s at these days. Companies are using them on walls, pool tables, and now train stations. Waterloo Station in the UK is the site of the latest example, using AdTrace, created by two companies in Great Britain. I think it’s safe to assume that this technology will be coming to the US in the near future.

Thanks..
This one of the Best & latest example… That for Creative mind every thing is possible … he can use walls, pool tables, and now train stations.

have a look a this masterpiece of videomapping at munich palace of justice last wednesday: http://www.myvisualworld.com/?p=1333
Not bad but no where near as spectacular as some of the projections around. They’ve done some amazing stuff in France, Holland and Spain, awesome in fact. There’s also an Italian guy who has really pushed it into another dimension with human interaction. And there’s interactive floor projections too. But are they really ads? Or novelty with a brand logo? Or worse, will ad agencies take the creative credit for other’s creativity?

There are some nice videos there but a lot of the are visuals and not actually full projection productions. Look closely and its obvious. The huge cathedral building and the 4 columned building especially. Great visuals adn creativity – the difference with AdTrace is that it is designed to incorporate brands, logos and messages at every opportunity. For better or worse this is an advertising medium albeit a really cool one.

Great showcase of the technology but why aren’t they actually promoting something other than themselves?
Just a thought.
This was the launch of the technology as commercially available in the UK.

Amazing presentation, in my eyes this is more art than advertisement.
