The iPhone is one sexy kit, but it generally doesn’t doesn’t stay that way for long. So if your chrome bezel is scratched up, why not give it the brushed metal look? All it takes is a two-sided kitchen sponge and a bit of work to give your iPhone a different look. [via Lifehacker]

  • This video could have been about 20 seconds long.

  • I agree with Jason about the crazy length of what should have been super quick.
I also wonder if it would affect reception in any way, considering the bezel doubles as the antennae for the phone. Looks like a nice option if I ever truly mess up my phone though.

  • Sweet jesus. . . Not only must I echo Jason & dwalk that this video is WAAAY too long – it’s doubly so given the fact that it’s sped up in the middle!

I was annoyed after 30 seconds. Now I’m waiting for the video to load so I can skip to the end.

  • I want to know how it looks if its done to the back of an iPod touch. Somebody else should do it first and then show me..

    • I was just going to, but I can’t find a damn green sponge. I”ll pick one up sometime next week, so tune back in then! I’ll bookmark this page so I don’t forget.
