Put all the Modern Warfare 2 controversy crap behind of you for just a minute and a half. Forget about the lack of PC dedicated server support and that you *might* kill civilians in the game. Just watch the official launch trailer and tell me you aren’t stoked about this game. Seriously.

Deserves to be boycotted. Infinity Ward and Activision are blatantly price-gouging consumers on all platforms, and have completely screwed-over PC gamers with this one. I won’t be buying, and won’t be visiting any sites promoting it in any way.
Plus, I wasn’t terribly impressed by CoD4 in the first place. It filled a niche for “an online FPS which wasn’t Halo” on the 360, and had gameplay “features” straight out of the last decade.
LOL @ Chris, theres always a few people who find a way to complain about anything. The points you just tried to make are futile, “Price-Gouging?” For a TRUE Call of Duty gamer like myself and HUNDREDS OF THOUSAND OTHERS (millions?), the price is not an issue. Most people don’t care about paying the money, especially for an epic and indisputable game like COD. Halo? Good game but LoL…. yeah your one of those guys who probably still play Mario Bros, Zelda, pokemon and gay cartoony games alike. When your balls finally drop, you get some hair on your chest, and understand what a true FPS is, maybe then you can appreciate the quality of Modern Warfare.
price gouging… are you kidding Chris! Pre-order MW2 at Gamestop, trade in two titles (MW1 and halo 3 for instance) to get credit and return the game by some time in december to make a nice nifty profit of ~$20. That ain’t bad at all.
As for the gameplay, it’s nothing like halo, besides being a FPS. You move faster and there’s a lot more variety to the gameplay (C4, claymores, etc. etc.) Not to mention you don’t have to wait 5 min in the game lobby like in halo 3 (seriously, talk about a snoooze)
This will be the greatest game of this decade, unless they really screwed up (trailers, gameplay footage indicate otherwise though).
I’m not in the US. Such deals aren’t open to me, and the SRP for the PC version of MW2 is $75 over here.
Would you still be interested (even discounting the whole issue of the complete nerfing of the online component) at those prices ?

Just picked up my copy this am. Watchin the clock so i can get out of work and fire it up. All critics of this title are losers. No wonder Gears 2 are offering triple xp this week. They know everyones gonna be on mw2….
