I might believe that it wasn’t real, except for the additional rifle stock visible on the truck and Grant Imahara posting on twitter about how they’re shooting cars for an upcoming episode.
As a corollary, I know that this actually isn’t ’shopped because of the pixels…and having seen quite a lot of ’shops in my time.
This picture would look a lot different if someone shopped it.
Why would it be photo shopped?? People are sooo ignorant these days? You can go into any gun store and buy a .50 cal, .338, barret, norcal precision, sako, the list is endless. Why on earth would anyone take the time to photoshop something that is easily regarded as truth?

It’s not Photoshop. I’ve been using Photoshop since v.3 was released in ‘94. Never mind pixels, if ytou want to spot a Photoshop fake, look for angles of light, sharpness, and accuracy. It’s very hard to get behind hair, between fingers unless you have a high-resolution version of the image. The highlights on the gun and Kari’s (still hot, if soft) body match up with the highlights on the truck and the shadows. The other tell of a Photoshopped images would be plausibility. Is it plausible that the guys on Mythbusters would put a big black gun they’re using in an upcoming episode in the hands of their quirky resident hottie? Yes.
Why would you even post this comment? Mythbusters is basically all about trying to blow stuff up in creative ways, why would she NOT be holding a giant gun?

I think that the rifle is chambered in .416 or .408.
It could be a Barett 99, chambered in .416 Barett, fitted with a custom Steyr-like stock. It is hard to say given that the stock is custom.
My mistake. It is a .50 BMG rifle that has long been out of production.

This is not – I repeat – NOT photoshopped. There are two main styles of sniper .50 calibur rifles out there you see at most gun shops and surplus stores, however, there are other lesser known styles out there for the picking.
