NASA: We found water on the Moon
Excellent idea: flat outlet pulls out to allow extra plug

Does anyone else find it odd that discovering water on the moon has excited so many?
NASA tells us it now means that we can build a moon base, create rocket fuel with it, power electronic batteries with it, feed people, etc. And all of this is possible with the discovery of simple H2O.
I know another place that has a lot of water. In fact, 70% of its entire surface is covered with water. It’s called Earth.
It’s also covered in dicks. I won’t point out any of them, daniel, oh no, definitely not.
I agree with Daniel, what’s the big deal? I can’t believe that our taxes went and blew a hole in the moon when we’re Trillions in debt. Furthermore, I’m still not convinced there IS water on the moon. I’ve seen the pictures, and it doesn’t look like water to me. But I’m not NASA.
Yea Micah, whats blue’s sky’s science ever done for us?
Computers, parth! who uses them. the Web parth, it will never take off.
I suppose my comment came across as anti-exploration, but not so. I’m a big fan of space science. If we need to go all the way to the moon to realize that we can utilize basic H2O to meet all the energy needs of society, well then let’s go to the moon again.
My original comment was meant to convey a bit of frustration. If we could only motivate ourselves to figure this out right here on Earth – imagine the possibilities.
Admittedly though, a moonbase would be the coolest thing ever.
Ummm. So you’re on a road trip and you run out of gas on an abandoned stretch of road and the nearest gas station is 100 miles away. Your passenger turns to you and says, “no big deal, there is plenty of gas in a gas can sitting in my garage at home.”
Obviously, little things like physical location, gravity levels, and other things make a difference in this case.
That plus Scott Herbert’s comments. The minute we fold in on ourselves and stop pushing the edges of science and understanding is the minute we should expect our societal prospects to forever languish.
Im glad that finding water on the moon has sparked interest and hopefully another space race. Its about time! Wtf is money for if were not spending it on something that helps push humanity further.. oh wait.. lets just build more stadiums and hire a few more billion dollar uneducated athletes to root on while where drunken and fat.
For the moon – water non-player-haters who like astronomy stuff, check out this mosaic of the Milky Way assembled from 1,200 separate pics:

Reminds me of why exploration is worthwhile.
water found in the moon….nowadays everybody knows that… so y get so much excited about it.
