Is saying “I play Modern Warfare 2 for the single-player” the new “I read Playboy for the articles”? It might as well be. But get this: I play Modern Warfare 2 for the single-player. I stink at multi-player, so why even bother? That said, I know that many of you bought the game merely to play the multi-player, and thus have no idea what the single-player’s story is about. Thank God for this video, then.

I bought it mainly just for the single-player mode. I suck online because I don’t have hours a day to play in order to beat the kids.
I actually haven’t touched the multiplayer yet, MW1 was so good, i had to get MW2 for the single player campaign.

Why watch this synopsis when you can play the campaign in 60 seconds?
Single player campaign was way way way too short. But so was CoD4.
Biggest annoyance with MW2 Single player: no Ac-130 missions.
Yes, everyone I know that played the story line was like “wait, that’s it?” at the end… amazing story with cool ending but too short.
The game is fun but way too short! I suck and it only took me a couple of nights to finish the entire campaign… Instead of wasting time on Special Ops missions they could have extended the story a little longer… Now I have to wait for MW3 for 2 years…
PS. an AC-130 mission would have been nice… one of the missions of MW1

I have to say that although I bought the game intending 98% time to multiplayer, the single player mode was actually really surprisingly engaging. They kept mixing up elements to keep it from becoming (phrase from the story) “same sh*t, different day.” Plus that last throwing knife kill admittedly made me “DUUUDE!”
I agree it was way to short…it was still fun for a 1st time purchaser of the story…online is cool if you can find a good mate to bang out some a few sessions with.
Nice little recap… The only thing that bothers me about this game is I bought it for PC specifically cause I liked the option to “lean” and play on dedicated servers. I play 360 and PS3, but for most FPS, I need a keyboard and mouse for pin point accuracy. The time I’ve spent online the whole P2p internet connection thing is pretty bad. I hated playing the Halo series on Xbox and since the Host drops out, game ends. Overall, I can’t complain much… Infinity Ward has made this into one hell of a game, but why take away settings/options?
