Did he have to praise Allah and offer up his son for sacrifice? Was he shopping for Christmas, which best buy will not mention, or the consumer glut holiday Eid?
Tyrell here, and no I was not doing anything but satisfying my sin of greed and gluttony :)
Ah, how sweet. The village idiot learned to type.
With all due respect, while I certainly have no problem with a Muslim winning the gift certificate, “Tired of Best Buy” made one good point.
Best Buy in past years has had Happy Hanukkah gift cards, Happy Holiday gift cards, and if I recall correctly, Kwanzaa gift cards. My question is, if Christmas is such an “EXclusive term” that it must be replaced, how is Hanukkah & Kwanzaa considered “INclusive term’s” ?? If these are permitted to be celebrated individually, yet Christmas is not permitted to be celebrated individually, how is this not a double standard ?
Why are Christian-based holidays the only holidays asked to make any concessions or compromises ?
Oh, and BTW, I have NO PROBLEM with Ramadan being Recognized by the Commercial Industry either. I rather think it’s time that all the major religions this time of year be recognized. Perhaps this is the next great inequity to be reconciled.
“Tired of Best Buy” You mad Islam is growing? FYL :(
Congrats Tyrell, happy you won!
No, Adam, more then likely he’s mad that in past years, You’d see Best Buy : Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Happy Holiday, gift cards, but NOTHING that said Christmas on it.
Now with that said, If you are puzzled why this would upset someone who actually DOES celebrate Christmas as opposed to “Happy Holiday’ DAY”, then clearly you’ve NEVER been discriminated against or treated by a double standard.
Get over yourself, “Tired of Best Buy”.
Hey it was a tech crunch story. Down with Christmas, up with human sacrifice festivals.
