Sounds like technology is making a difference in the lives of the victims of the Haitian earthquakes. Several different companies that produce products that use solar power have been sending equipment as part of the aid mission. Among the equipment are lights for hospitals and solar panels to help with water purification.
The solar powered lights are being placed in hospitals, enabling doctors to continue to work after dark, and the solar panels are being used to power water pumps used in the water purification process. In addition to water and light, a Dutch company is donating solar powered cell phones in order to help with communications. Last but not least, another American company is shipping solar powered ovens, which will allow people to cook without use of charcoal or other fuels.

The Haitians must be the unluckiest people in the world, getting stuck twice by a huge earthquake is unheard of.
I`m glad that solar power is playing a huge part in this mess. Hopefully people will understand that it`s not only used or meant for the tree huggers.
I THINK THIS MESSAGE IS TRUE
I have lost big time on my investments, my wife passed away last year, and I am on dialysis three days a week.
BUT
I still live comfortably and have clean water and three squares a day , have the support of friends and family, and am alive because of Medicare providing dialysis.
And I don’t live in Haiti.
The big lesson…..I am grateful for what I do have, and even thow I am on tight budget, I am sharing as much as I possibly can to help those in Haiti. Please, can’t you go without a meal or two and donate 10 dollars to the cause? Contact the American Red Cross today!
