while I do find it generally silly, it’s actually fairly convenient compared to alternatives if you’re going to buz cut someone’s hair. I regularly cut my own hair with clippers and the simplest way for me is to do it bent over news paper to catch all the hair.
The only thing the haircut umbrella wouldn’t be great for is… an actual umbrella.
