Introducing the Nokia N97, the next generation high-end mobile phone from Nokia. Described by Nokia folks as a “handheld computer” this device is a pretty comfortable high-end phone. It has a tilting (resistive) touch-screen display, and is the first N-series phone with a QWERTY keyboard. It has 32 gigabytes of memory, expandable to 42 GB [...]

Trust fund babies have another gigantic HDTV option now that Runco is shipping the VW-100HD. The rear-projection system has the look of a plasma when installed but at a dramatically lower price of $39,995 - Panasonic’s 103-inch plasma runs nearly twice that. Installation is where it gets a tad hairy though.

Hey now, here’s something you don’t see every day. It’s a true 16:9 display in a business notebook for way, way cheap.
Dell’s Vostro A860 line starts at under $400 (that’s after instant savings – it’s normally $448) and features a 15.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The notebook weighs in at 5.4 pounds, [...]

At first glance Allio’s 42-inch convergence media center seems like a dream, but after taking a look at few key specs I’m thinking I might to pass. Sure it has 1TB of on-board storage, an Intel C2D E8400 processor proc (4GB of RAM, 64-bit Vista), built-in Blu-ray player and other fine accoutrement to make a [...]

Buy.com has what I consider to be a very intriguing deal on an affordable GPS system from Nokia. Inexpensive is one thing, but the $99 Nokia 500 has two features that make it worth looking at: Bluetooth for using your phone hands-free and an FM transmitter for playing music files loaded on an SD card [...]

The general consensus around the CG water cooler is that companies will be launching really craptacular products today, but Fujitsu is doing quite the opposite with three new laptops and we like it.
The most notable of the bunch is the 16-inch (16:9 LCD) LifeBook N7010 and its tiny 4-inch touch-screen that’s embedded just above [...]

Radio Shack is gaining another GPS exclusive product with two new NAVIGON units. The 5100 max sports a large 4.3-inch touchscreen, NAVIGON’s Reality View Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, and an Advanced Text-to-Speech guidance system. The 2090S is equipped with a smaller 3.5-inch screen but retains most of its big brothers features. Both units come with NAVIGON’s FreshMaps so users [...]

The HP MIni 1000 launched here in the States yesterday, and the Compaq division quietly announced a nearly identical re-branded netbook for the UK market. The Compaq MIni 700 has the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, along with the same HDD and SDD options, but ships with a 10.2 1,024 x 600 (16:10) display, optional HSDPA radio, [...]

At $249, the Samsung SC-MX20 falls delicately between cheap flash-based camcorders and more expensive hard drive-based camcorders. It strips down some features that may not be necessary in the first place – high definition video, still photos, etc. – but adds something that most less expensive flash camcorders don’t have: an optical zoom. A big [...]

The Kodak EasyShare Z1012 IS is a 10.1 megapixel camera with 12x optical zoom and image stabilization. It also records video at 1280×720.
The Good
This camera is really, really light. It’s surprisingly light. You could easily forget that this thing was in your pocket. It’s got a fast start up time, which means you’re less likely [...]
