That’s if you pre-ordered yours on or before September 8th, suckas. If you ordered beyond that date then don’t expect your juice pack to start shipping until the 30th of October. But be warned, consumers, for the juice pack for the iP3G is still awaiting its “Works for iPhone” Apple certification, which could effect shipping [...]

The Egyptian government GPS ban is locking down the country’s borders from the latest technology. This ban prohibits consumers from owning and operating GPS-capable devices without a government-issued permit which includes cars, mobile phones, notebooks, and anything else that might have GPS. The government cites security concerns and joins Syria along with North Korea as the only [...]

According to BGR, Wal-Mart may be carrying the iPhone 3G starting on November 15th. Also noteworthy is that it doesn’t look like the iPhone will be sold at Radio Shack, as previously rumored. Now, I’ve never purchased a cell phone from Wal-Mart before but here’s to hoping the activation process will be relatively hassle [...]

The iPhone. Not that it matters much, but the stinking iPhone brought home 2008 Gadget of the Year, Best Mobile Technology, Most Stylish Technology and Technological Innovation of the Year from the British Technology Awards. The iPhone has been sweeping similar award lists like LOTR: Return of the King did in the 2004 Academy Awards. Apparently [...]

Reports are filtering in that iPhone 3G owners are receiving their replacement USB power adapters before the Apple-announced shipping date of October 10, 2008. The updated adapter look the same expect sport a green circle on the metal prongs side to differentiate from the recalled versions. Hopefully, this version’s metal prongs will not break off in outlets, [...]

You’re looking at the BlackBerry Application Center, RIM’s answer to Apple’s App Store and Google’s Android Market. Same basic concept as the other two—you browse and buy applications that enhance your BlackBerry experience.
The Application Center—we’re running out of variants of the term “application store!”—is set to debut with the BlackBerry Storm software version 4.7. [...]

New research shows that UK iPhone users are as happy as can be with their device, despite some of the earlier hiccups associated with the iPhone 3G’s launch.
The survey, conducted by a research company Wavemetrix, suggests that it’s the apps, stupid, that make the iPhone so gosh darn attractive. One user said that he [...]

Back in December of 2007, I brought you news of the Pogo stylus for the iPhone and iPod Touch. I remarked that the initial price of $25 sounded a bit expensive for an aluminum stick and that a stylus sort of defeats the purpose of the iPhone/iPod Touch. Some of you agreed with me and [...]

MacNN is reporting that Hong Kong Apple Stores are selling unlocked iPhones for $692 for the 8GB and $794 for the 16GB. This directly contradicts reports that mainland China will get a gimped up iPhone later this month but Hong Kong has always been an odd place.
Notably, iPhones in the region can be “activated [...]

The is the best use of the iPhone 3G I’ve seen yet. That is, other than using it as a communication device.
Some guy, captain-ahab, dropped his phone in a river, rendering it useless. So, in the true spirit of something or other, he decided to turn his once head-turning phone into a fishing lure. A [...]

Note: this dock will not work with the Apple iPhone 3G, only the original, flat-backed version. So if you happen to want another dock for your cube or gf’s house, $5 shipped isn’t a bad deal. It comes via Today’s Closeout, so just like Woot, this deal is only ’till they last or the clock [...]

This might as well be the Chinese iPhone
According to the South China Morning Post, an analyst, Calvin Huang, is reporting that the iPhone 3G will ship in China without W-CDMA and Wi-Fi. The report states simply that both functions will be turned off, W-CDMA because the carrier will be using TD-SCDMA, a Chinas 3G standard [...]

Ah, how nice is it for Apple to bring back quasi-online iPhone purchasing option. When the jesusphone 3G launched, the option disappeared, forcing you to head down to your local Apple or AT&T store only to be at the mercy of their limited supply. Apple spun it saying that it was for your benefit, but here we [...]

Someday I’ll tell my son about how we used to have to “plug” things in to the wall, at which point he’ll roll his eyes and speed off on his Back to the Future Part II hoverboard to go hang out with the creepy old Doc Brown. Oh the adventures those two will have! Ted, [...]
