Blockbuster went official with plans for a set-top streaming box last week and now the company CEO is stating that the same capability will soon be available in Blu-ray players as well. Allegedly this option will be available in the first quarter of 2009 but what player is going to have the option? The Playstation 3 perhaps?

Most agree that this years Black Friday so-called deals kind of.. well.. suck. Sure, there are a few Blu-ray players around the $150 mark and Wal-Mart has an old Magnavox for $128. Redbox, the company that runs the dollar-per-day DVD rental kiosks at grocery stores around the country, is apparently going to start renting Blu-Ray discs. According to TVPredictions the Blu-Ray discs will be $1, too!
