Everyone’s favorite real life Lionel Hutz could find himself disbarred in the near future. Jack Thompson walked out of a Florida court room today, claiming that it was a sham hearing and that the presiding judge was “incompetent” and “arrogant.” (Sounds like him, too.) Since he walked out in a huff, the Florida bar asked [...]

Looks like EA’s takeover of Take-Two is on ice for the time being while the FTC does a little digging around after an information request was given to EA. But if it takes longer than 45 days for the FTC to conclude their probing then EA can go ahead with their attempted acquisition of the [...]

Don’t watch this if you don’t particularly care about GTA4 but its fun to watch the different ways you can risk life and limb and survive in the game. That the game’s physics allows for this sort of mayhem is a testament to math teachers everywhere.

See? Four 10s
Metal Gear Solid 4 has received a perfect score from lauded Japanese gaming mag Famitsu. Yes, the game with the horribly long cutscenes got a 40/40, joining the ranks of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Vagrant Story. (Now there’s a great game, Vagrant Story. It was like literature.) But do [...]

Grand Theft Auto IV is still among the top five torrented video games on Blackcats, the premiere, video game-specific, private BitTorrent tracker. With something like 970 seeders (the numbers fluctuate by the minute it seems) between both the PAL and NTSC version, the game trails only the just-released Race Driver Grid and Enemy Territory Quake [...]

Like Microsoft with Yahoo!, EA refuses to concede defeat in its pursuit of GTA publisher Take-Two. The Redwood City, Calif.-based corp said today that it has extended its self-imposed deadline to acquire Take-Two by one month. So now we have till June 16 to read all sorts of fun stories like:
“T2: You’re undervaluing our [...]

EA’s self-imposed deadline vis-à-vis its proposed acquisition of Take-Two expired Friday with nary a peep from either company. EA, fond of money, offered to buy Take-Two, the publisher of GTA, back in February, with the two companies going back and forth like little children ever since. Well, mainly EA; Take Two has been fairly quiet [...]

Admit it, some of you did this, too. You just didn’t have the guts to make a video. Some language NSFW, so find your headphones.

We get the point, Blendtec. You have a kickass blender that blends just about everything we fawn over these days. Of course your blender is going to obliterate a copy of GTA IV. Get over it and think of something new.

We’ve been saying for awhile that violent video games aren’t bad for kids, and now we’ve got research from Harvard to prove it.
They spent nearly one and a half million dollars in four years following the habits of 1,200 kids. As it turns out, violent games are a good way for kids to relieve stress [...]
