Starbucks will give away Wi-Fi starting tomorrow, June 3. Or:
When you register your Starbucks Card and use it at least once a month, you’ll receive two consecutive hours a day of complimentary Wi-Fi, courtesy of AT&T.
Not much to complain about here, really. Buy an elitist latte once in a while, and check the headlines. [...]

We received this internal memo to AT&T employees describing a failed launch today of AT&T’s WiFi service. From the memo:
“The iPhone Wi-Fi offer that was scheduled to launch today has been canceled. Nothing has been announced by the company to our customers and will not impact existing customers. Additional communication will be provided if the [...]

The on-again, off-again Wi-Fi service that AT&T offered for free to iPhone users last week is now back on. The AT&T wireless site has been updated to reflect that iPhone users now have access to more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hotspots including Starbucks. I’m sure we’ll get an official statement from AT&T today.

MacRumors is reporting that the free AT&T Wi-Fi is now gone at locations that had been verified earlier. No one knows if this was intentional or not but someone pulled a plug somewhere. Maybe it’s planned as something to head off the 3G iPhone?

Get thee to a Starbucks for ye shall be able to enjoy free Wi-Fi access at over 7,000 stores (soon) along with some Barnes and Noble shops. A special page pops up when you try to log on and you type in your phone number to use the Internet. Apparently all you really need is [...]

We knew AT&T was taking over T-Mobile’s hotspot service across all Starbucks, but I didn’t think it would happen this soon. I guess it’s spring. The first known Starbucks to give T-Mobile the boot and replace it with AT&T has been spotted in San Antonio, TX. U-verse subscribers have free access so hop on over [...]

Interesting bit of speculation over at Macenstein. That is, what if Apple doesn’t release a 3G iPhonethis year, if ever? That would annoy people who said “non!” to the current iPhone in hopes of buying one that’s not stupid slow. At the same time, it may play right into both Apple and AT&T’s hands.
Take AT&T. [...]

Didn’t see this one coming at all. I thought everything was peaches and cream between Starbucks and T-Mobile. Apparently not. The coffee giant has announced they’ve inked a deal with AT&T to bring free and paid wireless Internet services to a local Starbucks near you. AT&T Internet subscribers are privy to unlimited Wi-Fi.
In addition to [...]
