Truly Comcastic service, for real this time

December 1st, 2008

We’ve made it a sort of hobby to post our Comcast experiences here at CG, more often than not because they’ve been terribletastic and we needed to be angry publicly for our own satisfaction. This time however it’s quite a different case so read on if you’d like to hear that rarest of tales: a [...]

My Mojo HD is gone

December 1st, 2008

What a bad day. Long story but to top it off, Mojo HD is gone. My TiVo just informed me that the station has been removed from my Comcast lineup. No more Zane Lamprey on the best, damn drinking TV show ever: Three Sheets. MojoHD, previously InHD, was a pioneer in the HD world with [...]

Blockbuster OnDemand coming to Blu-ray players (PS3?), too

December 1st, 2008

Blockbuster went official with plans for a set-top streaming box last week and now the company CEO is stating that the same capability will soon be available in Blu-ray players as well. Allegedly this option will be available in the first quarter of 2009 but what player is going to have the option? The Playstation 3 perhaps?

Program your TiVo from your cell phone

November 25th, 2008

I can’t watch TV without my TiVo, but the one thing I’m really lax about is actually programming the damn thing (Best Invention Ever: Season Pass).
In an effort to strip away all my excuses for not finding new shows and movies to watch, TiVo is introducing a mobile site at m.tivo.com (warning: link [...]

The 2Wire manufactured device, dubbed MediaPoint, doesn’t require a Blockbuster subscription and for a limited time is “available for free with the advance rental of 25 first-run movies, TV shows, foreign or classic [...]

You should be able to download the new firmware in [...]

November 18th, 2008

The Big Bang Theory Season 2, Episode 8
Sheldon
I’m sorry, but I’m not going to watch the Clone Wars TV series until I’ve seen the Clone Wars Movie. I prefer to let George Lucas disappoint me in the order he intend.
Nice, and the Star Trek bit is refering to a couple of jabs at Star Trek Movies. But after [...]

Dominos can now be ordered via TiVo

November 17th, 2008

Yeah, um. Okay. In what seems like the ultimate American fatty wet dream, TiVo owners can now order Dominos pizza from the comfort of their coach. Apparently it’s to much for to ask a person to reach over and grab the cordless phone. All it takes is a few clicks on the remote to navigate [...]
