If you’re either still awake on Thursday night or have just woken up early Friday morning and you’re getting set to head out to hunt for some video game deals, you might be able to get most of your purchases taken care of from the comfort, warmth, and non-threatening glow of your home computer. “Mobile Gaming” is a term that is frequently misunderstood. It’s not just about pocketable systems like the DS and Wonderswan — it’s a frame of mind. Are you the kind of person who says “I guess we can watch a movie or something” or do you say “Sweet, I’ll bring Rock Band!”? Do you reminisce [...]

Despite Nintendo saying they would have a significant increase in Wii count at retailers this holiday season (and yes, I’m re-using the pun from the headline), it’s looking to be otherwise. Wii Fits sell out as soon as they hit the shelves, and Guitar Heros hardly have time to sit either. Gamestop CFO David Carlson [...]

Looks like EA Sports is getting into the Wii-based fitness arena with EA Sports Active. It’ll be launching next spring, right about the time you grab hold of your ever-lingering holiday gut with both hands, look skyward, and scream "Whaaaeeeyyyyy?"

The results are in for TIME Magazine’s Gadget of the Year poll and the Peek E-mail Device has been rated highest by TIME readers, taking the top spot. It beat out the iPod Touch, the Eye-Fi SD Card, the Flip Mino, and the T-Mobile G1. I reviewed the Peek in September and found it to [...]

The difference between a casual gamer and hardcore gamer seems to be one big grey area these days. The terminology doesn’t exactly convey the same message it used to, but that’s an argument/post for a later time.
We all know the Wii epitomizes casual gaming and it looks like EA wants to change that with [...]

I am sorry for the ladies that these Wii videos I took at the Tokyo Game Show are (probably) not as interesting as this one for us guys, but the guy you see is incredible: I saw him early in the morning and he was dancing. I saw him in the late afternoon and he [...]

WhatTheyPlay.com is reporting that we might see a new next-gen Nintendo console by 2011 and that it might be named Wii HD. Better get in line now so you can get your hands on one by 2014. Try to at least get a raincheck for Wii Fit HD, too.
Apparently Nintendo’s been showing some presentations to [...]
