Fan of the Hitman series? I am. Played the first one all the way through, killing off russian mobsters and blowing things up the whole way. Never made it through the other two though, got distracted by other games along the way.

amazon-kindle

The second generation Kindle just dropped in price, everyone. It can now be had for a dollar less than $300, which might just sway some folks to jump on the e-book bandwagon. At least Amazon hopes the $60 price drop will move a few more units.

Wow, now this is something I can get behind: a $99 acoustic guitar and mandolin pack with free shipping. Think about it: once we reach the nadir of this depression, bloggers will have to become roving troubadours singing tales of the Silicon Bowl and busking for nickels near train depots.

Did you miss last week’s Woot for the $80 Flip? Fear not, citizen, for Buy.com has the Flip Video Ultra F260 for $89.99. (Buy.com notes that it usually retails for $199.99.) It’s refurbished, meaning that if you give it as a gift it’s a sign that you really don’t love them person, so there’s that.

CrunchDeals: How about a $869 MacBook?
by Matt Burns on October 16, 2008

Stevie didn’t announce a low priced MacBook the other day, but since he did launch new hardware, the older, but still capabile, models are dropping in price. Take this 13.3-inch MacBook for example. It only has 2.1 GHz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB of ram and 120GB hard drive, but what else would you expect for this low of a price? Throw some more RAM in there and you have a great deal. A $75 rebate drops the $944 starting price down to $869 and it comes with free shipping. Sure, it doesn’t have a fancy pants glass trackpad and might be made out of *gasp* plastic, but it’s still one hell of a deal.

Hey! What are you waiting for? This was one hell of a deal when it was $249, and now you can get Samsung’s BD-P1500 Blu-ray player and the Blu-ray Matrix Collection for $214.44 with free shipping from Amazon. Who cares what the price is speculated to be on Black Friday, you get a 10-disc Matrix Collection and you don’t have to fight my mother-in-law’s psycho shopping cohorts on Black Friday. You can sit back and enjoy the great America pastime: beer, football and sleep.

CrunchDeal: Samsung BDP-1500 Blu-ray player and Blu-ray Ultimate Matrix Collection for $249

by Matt Burns on October 13, 2008

Check it: for $249, you get the BD Live-capable BDP-1500 Blu-ray player and the Ultimate Matrix Collection Blu-ray edition for the same price as the player alone. This is one hell of a deal from Circuit City and probably signals that retailers are willing to throw almost anything to move Blu-ray players. Either go into a local Circuit City store or select both the Samsung BDP-1500 along with the collection on its website to buy this CrunchDeal.

CrunchGear: 16-Zone Creston system found on Craigslist
by Matt Burns on October 9, 2008

A 16-zone Creston system will run you a lot of coin – or you can pick up this chump’s system on Craigslist. I wonder if he used to work for Lehmans Brothers and needs to his McMansion’s mortgage payment.

I have a Crestron system currently installed in my house that I would like to sell. All components are in excellent working condition, one Amplifier has two small cosmetic scratches as seen in the first image.

CrunchDeals: 500W PSU and 2GB of RAM for $39 shipped

by Devin Coldewey on October 3, 2008

Damn, that’s hot! If you’re not running a crazy system that needs more than 500 watts of power (you’d know if you do), you might just upgrade here. I’m thinking about it. OCZ StealthXStreams are good PSUs and very quiet, and then getting two DDR-2 6400 DIMMs into the deal for a dollar less? Yes, with the $20 combo discount and the two $25 rebates, you pay less for both than you would for just the PSU. That’s crazy talk, my friend. [via NVNews]

Update: To be precise: the deal is at Newegg. You buy the combo deal detailed on either of the product pages linked, get $20 off the total instantly, then send in for $50 back. That’s $70 off $109.

CrunchDeal: Apple iPhone Dock $0.01 with $4.99 shipping
by Matt Burns on September 25, 2008

Note: this dock will not work with the Apple iPhone 3G, only the original, flat-backed version. So if you happen to want another dock for your cube or gf’s house, $5 shipped isn’t a bad deal. It comes via Today’s Closeout, so just like Woot, this deal is only ’till they last or the clock strikes midnight.

CrunchDeal: Seagate 500GB external hard drive for $89

You can get a half a terabyte Seagate external hard drive for only $89 and when you throw in shipping, for less than a bill. Come on, that’s not bad. Ships from BuyNow Incorporated through Amazon, but the company is rock’n five stars with 12,803 ratings. Not too shabby at all.
