I’m positive most of you have seen the Verizon commercials for the Samsung u740 that’s now being dubbed the Alias, right? Well, if you take a closer look, you’ll notice that it’s not the original gold and black finish. The u740 not only received a new name, but also a paint job and updated keyboard. All the other great features for the clamshell QWERTY are unchanged.
The Alias will be available mid-April for $129.99.

The Sony Ericsson Emelie will appear at CTIA. As you can see from these photos it has keys and an operating system. It also plays music.

If the rumors are true then Nokia will announce the WiMAX N810 tablet that’s been swirling about for months. They did mention it coming way back in August so this seems to make sense. Doug and I will be on the ground to sort it all out for you in April.
Moto is teaming up with Kodak? Releasing the MotoMing 2? Launching the Q10 with WinMo 6.1? Bestill my beating heart! Please, Moto, please: do well this quarter. We still need a primarily US-based handset maker and at the rate you’re going, I suppose I’d rather just look at a picture of Burt Reynolds.

It appears a new Nokia tablet is making the rounds in the rumor mill and this one comes WiMax-enabled. We’ll see what happens at CTIA in April.
