Consider yourself lucky because Nyko just dropped two controller bundles just for you. The Action Pak is a combo Wand controller (like the Wii Remote) and Pistol Grip attachment that’s the first and only digitally activated gun accessory. We’ve got one in the ‘testing lab’ aka my living room and we’ll have a review next week. The second bundle, the Core Pak, consists of the Wand and a wired Kama w/ rumble that packs the first force feedback for both peripherals.
I’ll keep this review short and sweet, folks.
If you’re looking for a second, third or even fourth Wiimote for your Wii then allow me to suggest picking up Nyko’s Wand. It’s priced $5 less than Nintendo’s Wii Remote and you’ll never know the difference when playing with your Wii Wii. It even comes with a blue condom!
We’re skimp on details until we hit the Nyko booth, but we have images of Nyko’s upcoming accessories for this year. They all seem to be pretty straightforward. So without further ado, I present to you the DSi Zoom Case, PSP Charge Grip Flex, and the Wii Type Pad Pro. There’s the Speakercom 360, but there aren’t any images of it yet. No release dates or prices have been announced, but we’re told that they are coming out this year.

Whew. So all the DX nonsense is over. How about a little something to nosh? I have a Nyko ChargeStation for Wii in my office just waiting for a lucky commenter. I’ll pick one winner at random tomorrow at noon ET.
UPDATE- Congrats to Goodo! Thanks for playing!

Nyko has some new accessory packs for their “Wand” 3rd-Party Wiimote. First is the Wand Action Pak. The second is called the Wand Core Pak. If you’re looking for a gun-style Wiimote accessory, this is probably the thing for you.

The short version: Nyko just debuted a bunch of new video game accessories at CES, including the Wand, which it trumpets as “the most advanced alternative to the Wii Remote.” Strong words.

Are you one of the 47 zillion people who own a Wii? Do you have $50? Do you want a new car? Do you want a Wii remote control charging device that can charge up to four controllers simultaneously? Sure, why not.

What’s worse than having your Xbox 360 controller die during the middle of a game? Not being able to find replacement batteries, of course. Rechargeable batteries are a viable option, but those don’t seem to last as long as we’d like, right? They can be spendy as well.

My thoughts on Rock Band/Guitar Hero accessories haven’t changed and I doubt they ever will, but Nyko’s Metal Pedal looks bitchin. Or course, my affinity for anything with skulls may be clouding my judgement, but a ‘heavy-duty’ replacement pedal that works for all Rock Band and Guitar Hero titles across all platforms might actually be worth $20. Besides the skull graphics, the Metal Pedal is actually constructed with metal plates and appears to be more durable than the drum pedals that ship with RB/GH.
It won’t be available until after CES, but we’ll get a first look at them in Las Vegas and let you know if it’s worth it.

I’m here in San Francisco today, eating delicious appetizers and playing Mega Man 9. Jealous? I thought so. I’ve also put my sweaty fingerprints all over their shiny new Wings, the wireless controller that Nyko is hoping will take the place of many gamers’ Wii classic controllers. Read on for impressions and more pictures, including Mega Man 9’s title screen.

IGN had the scoop last week on the Wing from Nyko and today it was officially announced to the public. The Wing will land in stores next month for $30. If you’re pining over it now and simply can’t wait then download the papercraft (PDF) and make one yourself today!

I’m actually in the midst of setting up John’s Wii in my living room and I have to say that the Classic Controller sucks a nut. It’s not very ergonomic and makes my hands hurt after a while. So I’ve got to say that the Nyko Wing looks pretty comfy and welcoming. Look at it! The Wing takes two AAA batteries and is said to last 30 hours. Also included with the Wing is a wireless adaptor to make other Wiimotes wireless. No word on price or availability.

We already posted about Nyko’s newest intercoolers for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and they’re pretty dope looking, so I just wanted to get some hands-on photos for you guys. The PS3 media hub that was announced the other week is clean, simple and sits flush with the system. You wouldn’t ever know it was an add-on attachment. Nyko makes great accessories that are economical and perfect all major console platforms. Can’t wait to review the new intercooler for my overheating Xbox 360 Elite. Gallery after the jump.

Console running a little hot? Come September, you’ll be able to pick up Nyko’s Intercooler TS for the Xbox 360 ($24.99) or PlayStation 3 ($34.99). The PS3 version offers variable fan-speed control and both models feature TempSmart, which provides automatic cooling levels based on the ambient room temperature around your console.
Both snap right on to the back of the console and can be used in either the vertical or horizontal position.

Today, Nyko announced a tiny little media hub for your PS3. What can said hub do for you? It adds three extra USB ports in addition to a memory card slot that supports SD and Memory Sticks. The Media Hub for PS3 should be available in August for $20.

Uh oh, Nyko is in a bit of trouble over their Kama Nunchuck. Nintendo is claiming that the LA-based console accessories manufacturer has infringed on two design patents and its trademark. Nintendo is seeking financial compensation and an immediate halt of sales.
“wholly appropriates the novel shape, design, overall appearance and even the color and materials used in the Nintendo Nunchuk controller,” Nintendo said
You’re just noticing this, Nintendo?

We got a note today that the Charge Base 360 is shipped, and you should be able to find them at your local Best Buy. The Charge Base 360 is a charging station that powers up two Xbox 360 controllers at the same time. Smart players would have four controllers: two for head gaming while two more charge up in the background. Then if the power dies mid-frag you could swap out and keep the action going. We love it.
