I’d imagine by now you’ve seen this picture of Megan Fox snubbing this poor little portly boy at the London premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. If you haven’t then you need to get out from under the rock or watch The Soup or something.

It’s almost Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (aka Megan Fox on an IMAX screen) time! Sadly, I missed the preview they held last night in NYC, which I’m extremely heartbroken over, but I’ll pay to see the movie regardless.
Anyway, Activision is now shipping the game companion and I’m pretty excited to play it after having previewed it two months prior. Mostly, I’m just excited for the unlockable cartoons. I do have G1 on DVD that I could watch whenever though. I’m stoked for online multi-player, too. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PSP, DS, and PS2.
So that’s Ravage in case you were wondering. I thought it was Voltron at first. Anyway, the Bay posted a list of “Fun Facts” about the upcoming Transformers sequel on his blog the other day and I felt the need to share with the rest of you nerds. It’s actually a pretty interesting list. For example, Transformers 1 took up 20TB of space and Revenge of the Fallen takes up 145TB.
Remember the contest that worth1000 held last year for rejected Transformers robots? Well, it looks like one of those rejected bots will actually be making an appearance in the upcoming Transformers sequel. Sources close to the film have confirmed with CrunchGear that a Dyson vacuum will make an appearance during the film. We realize there have been screenings in Asia, but not in the US and there has been no mention of such quirky bots.
While I won’t go as far as the press release does in calling this unlockable content “unprecedented” and “incredible,” it certainly is something I’d be happy to grind levels for. The Transformers game itself is coming out June 23rd on pretty much every platform, but the PS3, 360 and PC versions will be the only ones with these great bonuses. We’re talking episodes of the original series here, people.
Too bad they don’t have an unlockable that turns you into Soundwave… in real life.

It appears there is a stepped rollout going on with Transformers-related doodads. Hey, they can imitate anything within their mass limits, right? So why wouldn’t they become helpful everyday gadgets instead of expensive cars and flamey semi trucks? Just yesterday we saw the USB drive that turns into a robo-cat… or is it a robo-cat that turns into a USB drive? We won’t know until we get one. Same with this mouse, although I’m more skeptical of its functionality.

I’m still pissed off that Bay gave Optimus moving robotic lips in the first film, but the overall awesomeness of seeing CGI Transformers 20+ years after the fact allows me to tolerate such insubordination. I never played the first game based on the movie, though.
Activision’s title sold over a million copies, but received less than desirable reviews from jerks like me. Sometimes you just need to leave things alone, but the gaming industry is notorious for such crimes against humanity. And wouldn’t you know it; there was another TF game coming based on the upcoming movie. Truth be told, I wasn’t all that excited to get a preview of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen the game, but what else was I going to do on a Friday.

Revealed today at the Chicago auto show is Chevy’s full lineup of vehicles in the upcoming sequel to last year’s blockbuster hit “Transformers.” There are four new characters this go around that include a concept Corvette, the Volt and two other concepts. I’m going to nap till June 26th like a bear. Someone wake me up the day before.
Check out the three videos revealing all the cars and a special trailer that Bay directed to showcase the new Chevys.
Just because you have to actually put on some nice digs once in a while doesn’t mean that you have to forgo your inner geekdom. These Transformers cufflinks are great. Wear ‘em to your prom. Wear ‘em to wedding. Wear ‘em to your funeral. Just don’t wear ‘em to Comic-Con; cufflinks and cosplay don’t look right together.
The original Transformers movie was obnoxiously filled with shiny General Motor’s rides and it seems that theme will continue in the sequel. The latest GM wunderkind, the Chevy Volt, was apparently forced onto the writers at the latest minute ‘ccording to a web chat with the film’s head writer. Who knows how much GM is padding the producers pockets but at least we get to watch our tax dollars in work this coming summer.
Oh. My. Gawd. If I only had $5 grand lying around I might consider blowing it on this. One mospeada30 has put up what appears to be the entire G1 collection of Transformers action figures. That includes all action figures from 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and most of 1988, according to the seller. They’re obviously not in mint condition, but at least a vast majority of them are there and intact. The current bid is $4,250 with 4.5 days left. This sh*t is b-a-n-a-n-a-s!
Break out your credit cards, if you still have them! Black Friday is right around the corner so we’ll be seeing leaked ads all over the place for the next few days.
Today’s is a big one, Best Buy. Though BlackFriday.info highlights an $899 50-inch Panasonic Viera. Nine-hundred for a 50-inch TV may seem like a good deal till you realize it’s only a 720p model. If you’re already resigned to spend a grand on a TV it might as well be a 1080p one, right?
I did spy with my eye, however, that Best Buy has Transformers on Blu-ray for only $10. Now that’s a deal, especially if you consider that it won some Blu-ray award a few days ago for best sound.
According to ENI, Universal Studios have struck a deal with Hasbro and Dreamworks to bring those cuddly killing machines known as Transformers to the Hollywood-based Universal theme park in 2011. You’ll be even more surprised to know that the Universal theme park in Singapore will be getting it a full year before us. It was, after all, introduced in Asia long before the US, but it’s still a bummer.
The attraction will fuse 3D-HD media, mega special effects and stunning robotics with a ride system that will transform perceptions of theme park experiences. The rides are scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are on-board as consultants to Universal to make the ride the most kickassest it can be.

Remember Skids from the original cartoon? TF2 is or was filming at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona and one intrepid fan took a few snaps and sent them along to Jalopnik. The rear license plate revealed Skids, but no one knows what the Chevy Trax plate says. Oh, Skids is the bright green one. Bumblebee is still a Camaro if you’re keeping track at home. Check him out after the jump. Read More

If you’re lucky enough to own a PS3 or a Blu-ray player with Profile 2.0 and you own Transformers then you’re in luck, friend. Dreamworks has let loose a video for BD-Live dubbed “Robot Ninjas”, which is the battle scene between Barricade and Bumblebee. According to HDD, the video was pulled together from “video diary footage and animatics culled by the film’s stunt crew.” Sometime down the road, Dreamworks will release another feature called “What Effing Happened to Mason City”, but there was no timetable announced for that.

Toying with the fragile memories of our youth, Japanese toy maker Takara-Tomy is working on an alternative universe Transformers line of 1:32 toys called “Alternity”. In this crazy backwards universe, Optimus Prime (or Galaxy Convoy, as he’s known in Japan) masquerades as a Nissan GT-R rather than the oh-so-classic Big Rig we all know and love.
As Autoblog points out, the new and improved Optimus is a bit rough around the edges. The car form (shown after the jump) looks surprisingly jagged, and the robot form doesn’t seem fully transformed. That said, the toys are made entirely of good ol’ fashion diecast. Do you have any idea how many times I was smacked in the head with the old metal Transformers? Because I don’t.
