Woot understands that you have some last minute Christmas shopping left so it’s a great time for a Woot Off! I, for one, am hoping for some female persuasion gifts. Maybe Woot will Coach purse. Maybe? Probably not. Oh, well. Happy Woot’n.
Oh boy, here we go again. Another day of always checking the Woot tab to see what random gadget will clutter up my house next. Maybe this time I can snag the coveted Bag ‘ol Crap this time. After years of buying off of Woot, I have yet been able to by the $1 item. Oh well. Good luck and happy Wooting!
Quick. Hurry! FAST! Woot has a hella good deal today on a Memorex Blu-ray player but it will only be available ’till the end of the day or it sells out. Best of all, you don’t have to wait in Black Friday lines to get a Blu-ray player under the $150 mark. True, this player is a Profile 1.1 player and therefore cannot do any of the fancy BD Live features but still, it’s not a bad deal at $139. Could be a good gift for ‘ol Dad.

Oooh, that’s a good deal. Woot.com has the 2GB SanDisk Sansa Clip (see our review here) for a paltry $15.99 + $5 shipping. It’s refurbished, yes, but come on: you could spend on coffee, donuts, smokes, and sodie pop before you even make it into work. Why not pick up a little MP3 player instead? Makes a great stocking stuffer, too.

So this is more of a DIY idea than a CrunchDeals, but it could still go either way. Woot has this medium-size projector up for $179 and while it doesn’t HD, it sure likes mod-friendly and has an VGA port for easy computer hook-up. It measures in at 15″ L x 7″ W x 4″ T making it an almost perfect fit for the top of a computer case. With a little cutting, fabricating, and imagination, this cheap projector could become a hit at your next LAN party when it’s beaming your TF2 game out of the top of your computer case. Just an idea.

Woot.com is selling the Acer Aspire One netbook for $289.99 plus $5 shipping. It’s the version with the Linpus Linux operating system, 512MB of RAM, 8GB SSD, and three-cell battery. This deal is only available today (Saturday).

Woot; good ‘ol Woot. The LCD might be recertified – whatever that means – but if that’s cool with you, it’s only $749. Yeah, $749 for a 42-inch, 1080p LCD. Not to shabby considering the average price of this set elsewhere is north of $1,100. Hopefully though, Black Friday will produce similar if not better LCD deals.
Ah, man. Woot Off days mean that many users will not get that TPS report filed in time ’cause they are constantly refreshing Woot dot com, waiting for the next big thing. As of this writing, Woot has a SanDisk Sansa c250 2GB MP3 player for $14.99 plus the standard $5 shipping – not to shabby. Anyway, have a great Woot Off day!
Woot has a decent deal this morning. It’s not a scamper and find your wallet type-dealio, but if you’ve been looking for a great, inexpensive home theater projector, you might want to meander over and grab your credit card. Quick note though, this 720p Planar projector only has 900 lumens, so you better have a dark room as it isn’t bright enough to counter ambient light. And yes, it isn’t 1080p, but still great for the price. Still a nice projector from a highly respected manufacturer and it carried a MSRP of $3999 – back in ‘06. Oh, and sellout.woot.com has the making screen for $399, not bad either.

Looking to break free of Creative’s SoundBlaster yoke? There are other companies making sound cards, you know, and although I haven’t tested out Razer’s offering, I’m confident that it’s capable of delivering a perfectly decent sound experience. It’s got support for all the DTS and Dolby-type things you like, 24-bit output and good signal processing. For $50 I’d say this is a pretty good deal, since it retails for more than twice that.

Today on Woot is the Kodak V803, which is an 8-megapixel with 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD, ISO up to 1600, QT MPEG-4 movie mode and it has 32MB of internal storage plus an SD slot. The 5100 prints, scans and copies. They’re both brand new, too. That is all.
Merriam-Webster has named "w00t" the word of the year for 2007. W00t! President John Morse says that it’s the "ideal choice because it blends whimsy and new technology."
"It shows a really interesting thing that’s going on in language. It’s a term that’s arrived only because we’re now communicating electronically with each other," he said.
Allan Metcalf of the American Dialect Society isn’t too fired up about it. "It’s amusing, but it’s limited to a small community and unlikely to spread and unlikely to last." That’s a ridiculous thing to say, said by a silly man who thinks that all of us l33t hax0rs around the world only make up a "small community".
